Have you ever heard a quote like this, “shoot for the stars, and if you miss, you’ll land on the moon?” That’s what the book The 10X Rule is all about. The essence of the wisdom is the following: if you multiply everything times ten, you’ll get much more results than if you didn’t. Thus, if you set a goal, multiply not only the goal by ten, but also the effort needed to achieve it. One thing Tony Robbins says is that MASSIVE action is required to achieve excellent results. So, no matter how difficult or how challenging it may be, we need to man up and do it! If we want to achieve it, we will need to do everything necessary to accomplish it. And that’s where Grant Cardone’s The 10X Rule begins.
For instance, if you have a goal to lose one pound, multiply the goal by 10. Now you have a new 10X goal of losing 10 pounds. Now whatever action you thought to take — to lose one pound, multiply that action by 10. And that’s how you will get to your new goal. Then, if you fall short of your (new) goal, you will, at the least, fall way above your initial goal of one pound. Make sense?
Now, there is a glaring problem with this, that I find, depending on your goal, of course. You must decipher what 10X the goal should be for you. Here’s an example, if you are trying to lose 10 pounds, and you weight 150 pounds, multiplying your goal by 10 would be ludicrous. Because then you would be 50 pounds. Thus, I would say, multiply your goal by 10, within reason, in order to get much better results. So instead of 10 pounds, maybe the new goal is losing 15 pounds. Plus you will change your eating habits, drink a gallon of water daily, and live a healthier lifestyle. If you approach it that way, you will never go wrong. Remember, as with any of the thoughts of wisdom I share, take it with a grain of salt. Eat the watermelon and spit out the seeds.
So, let’s get into The 10X Rule video summary. It is a little different than all the other ideas we have focused on lately. We’ve discussed just starting, not worrying about being perfect, and just taking that first step toward your goal. The 10X Rule does not contradict any of these ideas. Instead, it is the very next step you need to take, once you get going. The 10X Rule enhances every other piece of wisdom we have shared. It challenges you to grab success and achieve it through massive thought, planning, action and follow-through.
Without further ado, here’s one of the best summaries I could find on The 10X Rule. Enjoy!
