I like to start each day with some type of inspiration — something that takes me from feeling mediocre to feeling like I can get sh*t done, if you know what I mean.  I watch YouTube videos, I journal, I meditate, I pray, I do everything and anything that is needed to get me into a prime state for each day.  I’ve even dabbled in different morning routines, but have found that unless you cater it for your own schedule and life, it will never stick. It will feel like you are using someone else’s routine, instead of your own.  But that’s a whole different topic.  Here, I’d like to give you a little oomph to start you off.  I’ve collected 7 inspiring quotes to get you through this week, and they’re pretty poignant.

These quotes are designed to help you spread your wings, fly and take a chance.  It is not about being perfect — it’s about being productive, starting, and having consistency.  Do something each and every single day to get the outcome you desire.

 1. Don’t Hold Back Your Shine

Allow yourself to be awesome, do the things that propel you to where you want to go.  Take time to make it count — to do something awesome or accomplish something amazing.  Don’t hold back, don’t watch TV instead, don’t take a nap, don’t leave it for tomorrow.  DO IT TODAY!   Make today AWESOME.

2. Get Cracking!

Today is not the day for sulking, it’s not the day for feeding your mind with negative thoughts, it is the day to take your life to the next level.  So start doing the things necessary to get you closer to your goals.  Start proving your naysayers wrong.  Don’t let them win, instead win so much, that they can’t ignore the success.  Prove everyone wrong.

If you want to be successful, you’ll need to do something each day.  There are no days off, at least not at first.  In order to get to where you want to be, you’ll need to put in the work.  And that work needs to be done daily.  J.J. Watt, who is the author of this quote, didn’t get to be one of the best Defensive Ends in the National Football League by taking days off.  Now rest days, they are a totally different thing.  But just don’t let too many of those get in the way of your goal, either.  There’s a reason why God only rested on the 7th day.  He didn’t take the next week off, it was only one day.

 

6.  Consistency Is The Key

Don’t worry about how fast everyone else is going, or how slow you are going in comparison.  Just worry about your race.  If the hare in The Tortoise and the Hare tale had worried about his own race, he would have won.  But he was so wrapped up in the fact that his competition was slow and he had so much time, that he lost track of what the race was about.  So he lost.  The morale of the story is not that being slow is a success strategy, but that running your own race and taking the time to pay attention to the things that you need to do to win, is critical.  Don’t stop working towards your goals.  I know some days are less motivating than others, but continue to make it a point to do something towards them.  It will keep you moving forward.

7.  Get Some Grit!

The main ingredient in being super successful is grit.  It’s that gumption that’s needed to pull an all-nighter when it’s absolutely necessary, or to continue past your breaking point to get a certain outcome.  So this week, as you are working towards your goals, demolish them with your grit.  Do everything that is necessary to propel you forward.  You can do it.  All you need to do is get started!
